About Us
Built for the Road
Truckers-Friend isn’t a corporate project; it’s a defensive tool built from the reality of the highway. This platform was created to provide drivers with a zero-trust shield against the risks that come with a roadside breakdown.
Our foundation is built on the Delday name. Our founder, Billie, grew up within the operations of Delday Transport, a company owned and operated by his father, James Delday. Today, James is still out there on the asphalt, working long-hauls for an oil company. He deals with the same traffic, the same logbooks, and the same mechanical risks you do every single day.
Because we are still part of the industry, we don’t guess what drivers need—we know.
The Mission: Ending the "Phantom Dispatcher"
The roadside assistance industry is currently plagued by "Phantom Dispatchers"—scammers who pose as legitimate shops to steal deposits over the phone, only to disappear and leave the driver stranded.
Truckers-Friend is here to put them out of business. Our goal is to get a driver from a "State of Emergency" to "Vetted Help" in under 90 seconds. We provide a direct, verified line to real, physical tire shops and mechanics, cutting out the middlemen and the scammers.
The Billie Standard (Zero-Trust Verification)
A provider cannot buy their way onto this site. To be listed, and to earn our High-Vis Yellow badge, every shop must pass the Billie Standard Audit.
Our Core Audit Requirements:
-
Physical Infrastructure
We verify the shop has a legitimate service bay and physical tire inventory. If they don't have a real shop you can pull into, they don't get on our map.
-
The "Shield of Trust" (Payment Security)
To earn our highest verification tier, a provider must accept major credit cards. We flag cash-only or "App-only" (Zelle/Venmo) operations immediately to protect your wallet.
-
Legal & DOT Verification
We cross-check DOT numbers and business registrations to ensure the entity is active, authorized, and professional.
-
Community Intelligence
Our Watchlist is updated in real-time. If a driver reports a scam and we verify it, that number is burned across our network instantly.
This Is Personal for Us.
We don't look at "Phantom Dispatchers" as a tech problem; we look at them as a threat to our own. With James Delday still out there doing long-hauls, we know that every time a driver gets scammed, it could have been one of our own family members on that shoulder.
We’ve combined a lifetime of trucking heritage with high-performance technology to build a tool that is as rugged and reliable as the rigs it serves. We have a seat in the cab with you, and we’re on the shoulder with you.
